Job Description:
The Shuttle Dispatch Operator is responsible for the efficient coordination of shuttle services, ensuring timely departures and arrivals, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role is crucial in managing shuttle schedules, solving logistical issues, and providing excellent customer service.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage daily shuttle schedules, ensuring efficiency and timely operations.
Coordinate with drivers to confirm availability and resolve any operational issues.
Communicate with passengers regarding shuttle times, delays, and other service-related inquiries.
Input data into dispatch software or systems to track shuttle locations and status.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and make decisions to reroute or adjust schedules as necessary.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of shuttle routes, traffic patterns, and local regulations.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with inquiries and concerns.
Prepare reports on service metrics, performance, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role, preferably in transportation services.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle fast-paced environments.
Proficient in using dispatching software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Knowledge of local traffic regulations and routes is preferred.
A customer-centric attitude with a focus on providing high-quality service.
