This 8-week course establishes foundational knowledge, legal frameworks, and practical empathy in disability services. Aimed at healthcare students, HR professionals, educators, and social service providers, the curriculum covers the history of disability rights, including the ADA, IDEA, and Section 504. Learners will engage with topics such as Universal Design for Learning, assistive technology innovations, and communication ethics. Through hands-on laboratories, clinical simulations, and real-world projects, students will learn to conduct accessibility audits, interpret medical documentation, and navigate HR negotiations.
