About the Role

Responsibilities:

Student Support and Welfare:
Serve as a primary point of contact for students, addressing concerns, providing guidance, and facilitating access to University resources.
Develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote student well-being, mental health, and personal development.
Oversee and manage the student conduct process, ensuring fair and consistent application of University policies and procedures.
Mediate student conflicts and provide support in navigating personal and academic challenges.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and support at-risk students.
Student Engagement and Community Building:
Foster a positive and inclusive campus environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Support and advise student organizations and activities.
Develop and execute programming that enhances the student experience and builds a strong sense of community.
Plan and oversee key student events and ceremonies.
Administrative Leadership:
Contribute to the development and implementation of University policies and procedures related to student affairs.
Manage the budget for the Dean of Students office and related student programs.
Supervise part-time staff and student employees as assigned.
Collect and analyze student data to inform decision-making and program development.
Represent the University at various internal and external meetings and events.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with academic departments, faculty, and other student services offices to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student success.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff on matters related to student affairs.
Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in higher education student affairs.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs leadership roles within a university setting.
Demonstrated experience in student conduct, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution.
Proven ability to develop and implement successful student programs and initiatives.
Strong understanding of student development theories and best practices in student affairs.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse student population.
Proven leadership, management, and organizational skills.
Experience with budgeting and resource management.
Proficiency in relevant technology and student information systems.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Work Schedule & Compensation:

This is a part-time position. The specific hours and days of the week will be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process, offering flexibility to accommodate the right candidate.

Compensation:

The University of Justice offers competitive compensation for this part-time role. Flex Pay is available, allowing for personalized salary negotiations based on your experience, qualifications, and desired rate.
