UNIVERSITY OF JUSTICE
The Child Care Volunteer will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children of University of Justice students and faculty. Volunteers will assist in the development and implementation of activities that promote social, physical, and cognitive development while ensuring the well-being of each child in their care.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and compassionate care to children, ensuring their safety and happiness.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play.
Assist with snack preparation and mealtimes, ensuring children’s dietary needs are met.
Maintain a clean and organized play area, promoting a welcoming environment for children and their families.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s day, including activities and any concerns that may arise.
Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to create a positive and enriching environment for children.
Participate in training and development opportunities as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Previous experience in child care, education, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to connect with children and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must pass a background check (as required by university policies).
