Course Description:

The Foundation of Urban Policy Justice Assistant 8 weeks course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to support justice in urban policy settings. Through a comprehensive 8-week program, students will learn about the principles of urban policy, the role of the justice assistant, and the skills required to effectively support justice in urban policy.

Course Objectives:

  1. Understand the Principles of Urban Policy: Define and analyze the principles of urban policy, including the importance of equity, fairness, and community engagement.

  2. Learn about the Role of the Justice Assistant: Understand the role of the justice assistant in supporting justice in urban policy, including data collection, case management, and reporting.

  3. Develop Skills in Urban Policy Analysis: Develop skills in urban policy analysis, including identifying policy issues, analyzing policy data, and evaluating policy effectiveness.

  4. Understand the Importance of Community Engagement: Learn about the importance of community engagement in urban policy, including building relationships with community members, engaging in outreach and education, and promoting community participation.

  5. Learn about Urban Policy Tools and Resources: Understand the tools and resources available for urban policy, including data analytics, policy research, and community development strategies.

  6. Develop Skills in Policy Writing and Communication: Develop skills in policy writing and communication, including creating policy briefs, reports, and presentations.

  7. Understand the Role of the Justice Assistant in Supporting Community Development: Learn about the role of the justice assistant in supporting community development, including providing support to community members, connecting them with resources, and advocating for their rights.

Certificate: Certificate of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
