Course Description:

The Foundation of Governance-Compliance Officer 8 weeks course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to support governance and compliance in various settings. Through a comprehensive 8-week program, students will learn about the principles of governance and compliance, the role of the governance-compliance officer, and the skills required to effectively support governance and compliance.

Course Objectives:

  1. Understand the Principles of Governance: Define and analyze the principles of governance, including the importance of transparency, accountability, and ethics.

  2. Learn about the Role of the Governance-Compliance Officer: Understand the role of the governance-compliance officer in supporting governance and compliance, including data collection, case management, and reporting.

  3. Develop Skills in Governance Research: Develop skills in governance research, including identifying sources of law, analyzing legal documents, and evaluating legal evidence.

  4. Understand the Importance of Compliance: Learn about the importance of compliance, including the role of compliance in preventing fraud, corruption, and other forms of misconduct.

  5. Learn about Governance Tools and Resources: Understand the tools and resources available for governance, including governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

  6. Develop Skills in Governance and Compliance: Develop skills in governance and compliance, including creating governance plans, monitoring and evaluating governance, and providing support to governance committees.

  7. Understand the Role of the Governance-Compliance Officer in Supporting Governance: Learn about the role of the governance-compliance officer in supporting governance, including providing support to governance committees, connecting them with resources, and advocating for their rights.
